Privacy
This website
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads nothing from other servers. Fonts, images and the test level are served from the same server as the page.
When you visit, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (such as IP address, time and requested file) in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider is ALL-INKL.COM, Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. IP addresses are only stored in anonymised form, and the logs are deleted after 7 days.
In your browser, the site stores your language choice, in the test level whether the sound is on, and in the browser game your progress and settings. This never leaves your device unless you join the leaderboard.
Privacy Policy for the app “Lumis”
Last updated: 7 October 2026
1. Controller

2. In short
Lumis is a puzzle game. There are no user accounts and no analytics or usage statistics. Personal data is processed only by the Google services named below (advertising and the purchase in the app) and, if you join the leaderboard, by our own server for the leaderboard.
3. Data on your device
Game progress, stars, settings (music, sound, vibration, language) and the status of the “Remove ads” purchase are stored only on your device. They never leave it and are deleted when you uninstall the app. If you join the leaderboard, your random player ID, a secret key to your entry and your name are stored there as well (see 5a).
3a. The game in your browser
Lumis also runs in your browser at https://www.die-lumis.de/spielen/. Progress and settings then stay only in your browser's storage and never leave it, unless you join the leaderboard. So that the game starts without internet, your browser keeps the game files in its cache. In your browser there are no cookies, no ads and no purchases. Opening the page creates the server logs at our host described in the section about the website.
4. Advertising with Google AdMob
The app shows ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”):
- full-screen ads between levels (at most after every third level end, not before level 6)
- optional video ads when you choose to watch a hint
Google processes in particular your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device and app information (model, operating system, language) and information about your interaction with ads. Google uses this data to deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud, and (with your consent) to show personalized ads.
Consent: On first launch the app asks for your consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform. Personalized ads are shown only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without consent, Google shows only non-personalized or limited ads. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in the app under Settings → Privacy settings.
Google may transfer data to countries outside the EU, in particular the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings.
5. “Remove ads” purchase
The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. Only Google processes payment data; the app only receives confirmation that the purchase is complete. The legal basis is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Google Play’s privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5a. Leaderboard
The app and the browser game share one leaderboard of total points on our own server (hosted by ALL-INKL.COM in Germany, see the section about the website). Joining is optional: only when you enter a name under “Leaderboard” and choose “Join” does the game send data to the server.
- Stored are the name you choose, your best points per level and their sum, a random player ID
your game creates, a fingerprint of a secret key (so only your game can change your entry) and the time you joined and last changed it.
- Your name, place and points are visible to everyone.
- To fend off too many requests, the server keeps a fingerprint of your IP address, made with a
random value that changes daily, and deletes it after 24 hours. The IP address itself is not stored for this.
- The transfer is encrypted (HTTPS). We do not pass the data on to anyone.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by choosing “Join”. Your entry is kept until you delete it or we close the leaderboard. You can delete it at any time in the game under “Leaderboard” with “Delete my entry”; this also withdraws your consent. If you can no longer reach your save game, write to us (contact above) and we will delete the entry.
6. Children
Lumis is intended for players aged 13 and over.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. About the leaderboard, contact us (contact above); about data Google processes, please contact Google directly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
8. Changes
This policy is updated when the app or the law changes. The current version is available at https://www.die-lumis.de/en/privacy/.
